Preparations for travel
We can’t really put it off any longer. Gotta start packing in the next couple of days because the container arrives (for our packing pleasure) on our doorstep in five sleeps!
Busy today. So here’s a point form update:
- Registered our UK company, Presence Labs Limited. More on that on the Presence Labs blog.
- Spent a lovely couple of days down south around Margaret River and Dunsborough catching up with old mates and drinking too much of the local cordial.
- Working away on a few projects and tidying up a lot of old paperwork that is worth sorting out before packing files into archives or leaving the country.
- The Philosophy Cafe podcast for the ValuesHacker podcast didn’t quite work. A great debate, but no recording to podcast. More podcasts on the way sometime soon.
- On the way to the UK, we are stopping in Hong Kong for a few days, then in Italy for a week or so, before arriving in our new home, Brighton, on May 16th. Not long now.
- While on the road, you might be able to work out where we are from this link at plazes, which ought to give a map of where the laptop has connected from.
That’s enough for now. More later.
Poly the Pollie
The Podcast Network’s big guy Cameron Reilly has swung into action and launched Poly the Pollie — a plan to invite Australian politicians take a public lie detector tests about policy issues.
I’m thinking this is a great idea. And the first Pollie to be invited is our own Alexander Downer. See Cam’s invitation here and watch for updates on the progress of the project here.
I would so love to see this succeed.
ValuesHacker steaming ahead
A few teething troubles with the ValuesHacker podcast distribution are over now. It just took a little while to settle down our production process and get the proper site up and running on The Podcast Network.
So, if you haven’t listened yet, why not wander over to the ValuesHacker blog and subscribe, or even subscribe using iTunes by clicking here. I guess iTunes is probably the easiest, but there are other options as well on the blog, including just listening to the shop straight off the website, streamed like.
We’ve got another couple of show ready to go up in the next couple of days too. So, there’ll be more soon.
Podcasting is serious good fun. Here’s how to get your own show together.
My ValuesHacker podcast launched on TPN
My new podcast, The ValuesHacker Show, has just been launched on The Podcast Network (TPN).
On ValuesHacker, Graham Mann and I talk through the big issues in values in our daily lives and talk and laugh our way through a few stories and into a bunch of practical tools to help you align your values, thinking and actions.
The big issues we take on are things like Fear, Lies, National values, and lots more topics yet to be recorded. We are still feeling our way with the podcast, so I guess we’ll get better at it as we roll out a few more episodes.
The plan is we publish a new episode each week, each one about 30-40 minutes. And with each episode, we like to leave you with a bunch of practical tools to work on your values with.
So, please have a listen, and we would love some feedback and comments on the ValuesHacker blog. You can listen to the show on the blog or subscribe there as well.
I hope you enjoy it. We have great fun making it.
