The Big Move North
Helloooo.. I have started several letters to friends and family since moving to the UK, most unfinished. So here’s a bit of remix culture. I will start with the oldest version I can find, then just add them one after another, unedited. Different takes on the same event, Different flavours. Love to hear from you. Bea coming soon, and more photos, but check out Flickr for a start - I am MsLiberty on there, funnily enough.

Big thunderstorms this morning. A river is running through the campsite right where we wanted put the tent. Some poor folk got a river through their tent. Oh glasto! Here comes the mud.
Luckily we are dry and warm and off exploring the kidz field.

It is Thursday at Glastonbury. The big music starts tomorrow. The whole place is pregnant with anticipation. As of tomorrow lunchtime the stages open and the performances start. Theses a lot to look forward to, including even WA locals the John Butler trio on tomorrow.
I spent the day walking the site. I’ve walked many miles today and seen lots. So much still to explore.

After 36 hours of ongoing travel, the powerbook batteries are exhausted and the last couple of trains have no power pockets that work.
Out come the Moleskine notebooks. I fill them up with notes and story fragments but not blog entries, which is why i am patiently typing this entry using t9 on my mobile.
Only a couple of hours to go.Good.

Roma. Sunday evening. We have aperitivo at the bar in the piazza before dinner. Lib and Bea are over by the fountain playing.
Thank goodness — Alston to leave
Senator Richard Alston is to leave his post as Australias Federal Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts, reports The Register under the headline Worlds biggest luddite to retire.
Thank goodness.
Now there is a chance that his replacement, Darryl Williams, MP, will have more of a clue about IT and Communications. This could actually do the industry and Australia some good.
