Two months of catchup
A long gap between posts. But you know that, don’t you. Sorry. Many reasons, most to do with holidaying, visitors, finding work and then actually doing it. Here’s the quick two month summary:
- We spent a wonderful week in Italy, on Lake Como. Wow. Thanks Rob!
- We are just back from a week at the Buddhafield “Everyday Magic” family retreat. Amazing and transformative, as it was last year.
- I now work for UBS Investment Bank in London amongst a great bunch of people doing interesting stuff. It means a long commute each day which I’m still getting used to. However, I get to work in the city of London proper, which is something like a dream for me.
Um. What else. Not much, and everything too. We are making the most of summer, getting outdoors whenever the sun is out. Brighton is treating us well, as is the UK. We came back to find some ripe apples on the tree in the backyard. I stewed some for breakfast. Tart but yum.
Great to hear all is well, I look forward to seeing the holiday snaps!
yeah, not put much in flickr lately. that is since the camera fell out of the window of the castle off the coast from Ischia. Or something like that :-)
do you actually get dressed in a pin stripe suit?
Nah. I just wear trousers (nice ones) and a nice shirt. No ties, even. Ties are very out here in London — maybe too many horrible accidents with the shredder or something.
If you are wanting to look cool, then the look is this: Nice suit (must be greyscale, not other colours) and an expensive shirt. With collar open to the top button only and no tie. A good look. Seems very Northern European.
